50 Years Later...

Thank you - I wanted to write something - this is a speech that should be mandatory in schools in every country. I recently heard an NPR interview with Dr.King's lawyer, draft speech writer and friend, Clarance B. Jones. Professor Jones wrote a book entitled "Behind the Dream: The Making of the Speech That Transformed a Nation." I will be reading it a soon as I can.

There is still transforming to be done and the danger of backsliding is ever-present. Ignorance does not talk holidays; it must be addressed with constant vigilance.

I wish there were more voices like that of Dr. King. As he might have said, all people of good character must step forward so those among us who have struggled don't step backward.
