How does your garden grow?

Mistress Mary, Quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With Silver Bells, And Cockle Shells,
And so my garden grows.

Why is this English Nursery  rhyme so important for today? Well, it is long believed that nursery rhymes like this one reference Catholicism, as well as famous ladies whom were the pillars in their communities and who hid their multitude of issues with home, country and foe behind good graces. Unfortunately, friend; this is no more. Good graces out the window, we hang our dirty laundry out these days like a badge of honor. It seems normal, but what does it really create – How does your garden grow?

Are we doing things to please the creator? Are we living without ego?
Are we allowing our light to shine? Do we take time to help our fellow man/woman?
Are we operating only from selfish mode? Do we take time to stop and smell the roses?
Are we in a place where the seeds we have planted prior are now blossoming into a garden filled with amazing color?

Well if answers in the negative have left you wondering…you have already taken the first step in consciously correcting damaging behavior. Today’s society, where we are moving through our everyday lives with a lack of constraint, ask yourself, are we building a better life for the future?. Have we watered, fertilized our garden? Have we expanded it to bloom and spread out making the world a better place?

Look around, and plant seeds that you want to see produce tasty fruit. Nurture it with kindness, water it with love and fill it with loads of sunshine. You will be better off because of it and so will the folks around you.

Continue to bask in the light!
